Rules to Add Ing in Verbs (Verb में “ing” लगाने के नियम):
Rules to Add Ing in Verbs निम्नलिखित हैं-
1- Regular Verbs:
सामान्य क्रियाओं में “ing” जोड़ने के लिए, केवल क्रिया के अंत में “ing” जोड़ते हैं।
Example:
- work → working
- play → playing
- walk → walking
2- Verbs ending with ‘e’:
यदि क्रिया ‘e’ पर समाप्त होती है, तो ‘e’ को हटा कर “ing” जोड़ते हैं।
Example:
- make → making
- dance → dancing
- write → writing
3- Verbs ending with consonant + vowel + consonant:
यदि क्रिया एक व्यंजन (consonant) + स्वर (vowel) + व्यंजन (consonant) पर समाप्त होती है, तो आखिरी व्यंजन को दोबारा लिखकर “ing” जोड़ते हैं।
Example:
- run → running
- sit → sitting
- hop → hopping
4- Verbs ending with ‘ie’:
अगर क्रिया ‘ie’ पर समाप्त होती है, तो ‘ie’ को ‘y’ में बदलकर “ing” जोड़ते हैं।
Example:
- die → dying
- lie → lying
5- Verbs ending with ‘y’:
यदि क्रिया ‘y’ पर समाप्त होती है, तो ‘y’ को नहीं बदलते, बस “ing” जोड़ते हैं।
Example:
- play → playing
- enjoy → enjoying
6- Verbs ending with ‘c’:
अगर क्रिया ‘c’ पर समाप्त होती है, तो ‘c’ के बाद ‘k’ जोड़कर “ing” लगाया जाता है।
Example:
- picnic → picnicking
- mimic → mimicking
7- अगर क्रिया ‘n’ पर समाप्त होती है और n के पहले कोई vowel हो, तो ing लगाते समय ‘n’ को double नहीं किया जाता है।
Example:
- Open → Opening
