Verb में ing लगाने के नियम

1- Present Continuous Tense (वर्तमान काल की निरंतर क्रिया)

जब हम किसी क्रिया को वर्तमान समय में निरंतर रूप में व्यक्त करना चाहते हैं, तो verb के आधार रूप में ‘ing’ जोड़ते हैं।
उदाहरण:

• I am eating lunch.
• She is reading a book.

2- Past Continuous Tense (भूतकाल की निरंतर क्रिया)

भूतकाल में किसी क्रिया के जारी रहने को व्यक्त करने के लिए भी verb में ‘ing’ जोड़ते हैं।
उदाहरण:

• I was walking in the park.
• He was sleeping when I called him.

3- Future Continuous Tense (भविष्यकाल की निरंतर क्रिया)

भविष्यकाल में किसी कार्य के जारी रहने को व्यक्त करने के लिए verb के आधार रूप में ‘ing’ जोड़ा जाता है।
उदाहरण:

• I will be studying tomorrow.
• She will be traveling next week.

4- Gerund (क्रिया का संज्ञा रूप)

जब verb को संज्ञा के रूप में प्रयोग किया जाता है, तो उसे ‘ing’ से बदल दिया जाता है।

• Reading helps to improve knowledge.

5- Adjective (विशेषण के रूप में)

कभी-कभी verb का ing रूप किसी चीज के गुण को व्यक्त करने के लिए विशेषण के रूप में भी प्रयोग किया जाता है।

• The book is interesting.

6- After Prepositions (पूर्वसर्ग के बाद)

यदि किसी वाक्य में verb के बाद preposition (जैसे in, on, at, by, for, etc.) आए, तो verb को ‘ing’ रूप में बदल दिया जाता है।

• She is good at painting.
• He is interested in learning languages.

7- After Certain Verbs (कुछ विशेष क्रियाओं के बाद)

कुछ विशेष क्रियाएँ हैं जिनके बाद verb का ing रूप ही प्रयोग होता है। जैसे: enjoy, avoid, finish, start, prefer, etc.

8- With Conditional Sentences (सशर्त वाक्यों में)

यदि कोई वाक्य शर्त (condition) पर आधारित हो, तो verb के ing रूप का प्रयोग किया जा सकता है।
